Maya brings over 30 years of diverse experience from her career in education to JMP Academy.   She has NM  Level 3, Instructional Leader Licensure in both special education and general education and holds an endorsement in TESOL-Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. She has enjoyed using her education and skills in classrooms from preschool through adults in both public and private settings.  She respects and values the learning process and language development.   She is inclusive and flexible in her solutions to help support students and families.She is excited to use her skills and experience to create quality and relevant IEPs for students supported by JMP Academy. She is passionate about making learning accessible.  She enjoys problem solving and finding creative strategies to help support all students to be successful.  She has been a mentor teacher and student teacher supervisor to many throughout her career.  She has participated in multiple leadership roles in her schools and is pleased to help support your students and staff as members of the JMP Academy community.
